Kent Larson is the executive vice president/director of development of LCS Development, An LCS Company. He joined LCS Development as project development manager in 1987 after seven years as a project engineer, project superintendent, and manager of business development with The Weitz Company. After serving in several key positions, Kent was named vice president in September 1994 and senior vice president in 2000. Kent serves on the LCS board of managers and the board of directors of LCS Holdings, Inc., An LCS Company. Kent holds a bachelor of science degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University.
Ted Macbeth is VP/director of project development for LCS Development. Ted provides direction and oversight to the Life Plan Community portfolio, including managing the development planning process, projects, and repositioning efforts. He supervises the project development managers and associated project activities. Ted has worked in the senior living industry since 1996. Previously, Ted worked for a not-for-profit senior living provider in Chicago, Illinois where he served as vice president of development. He joined LCS development in 2008. Ted holds a Bachelor of Business degree from University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and a Master of Business Administration degree from De Paul University in Chicago, Illinois.
Joel Bleeker is responsible for managing the in-house architects and design services at LCS Development, An LCS Company. He started with LCS Development in May 1991 as design manager, and was promoted to design manager II in November 1993. Joel served as director of design/assistant project development manager from January 1997 through December 2005, and in January 2006 was promoted to director of design. Joel holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and an MBA from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
As director of project development, Lee is responsible for LCS Development’s rental projects, including independent living, assisted living and memory care. Lee was formerly the executive vice president/chief development officer for CRSA and joined LCS Development in 2010 when LCS acquired the company. He has more than 35 years of experience in senior housing and commercial real estate development. Lee holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas.
