On May 3, Capital Manor, the only non-profit Life Plan Community in Salem, Ore., hosted a groundbreaking ceremony signaling the kick-off of its five-phase expansion. The expansion plan includes improved parking, new memory care suites and independent living villas, additional dining venues, plus numerous amenity upgrades and improvements throughout its campus nestled into the hills of West Salem.
Salem Mayor Chuck Bennett, Capital Manor Board President Keith Weathers, and Executive Director David Lewis participated in the ceremony. Following the celebratory event, attendees viewed expansion plans and sampled refreshments prepared by Capital Manor Executive Chef, Terry Dowling.
The expansion is the result of a master plan developed by LCS Development. In addition to coordinating efforts with local teams and vendors, LCS Development is overseeing the development and design, sales, and construction of the project. LRS Architects, Portland, and Salem’s LCG Pence Construction are partners in the project.
