Ted MacBeth, Sr. VP/Director of Life Plan Development, LCS Development, will lead the thought provoking discussion along with Fahad Aziz – Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer, Caremerge; Joel Bleeker – Vice President Architecture & Construction, LCS Development; Jill Sorenson – Sr. VP/Sr. Director of Life Plan Communities, Life Care Services; and, Craig Bushby – Director of Emerging Technology, LCS.

Ted is the senior vice president/director of Life Plan development for LCS Development. He is responsible for the direction and oversight of the Life Plan, Repositioning, and Rental business lines, including managing the product strategy, development planning, design, and management process. In addition, he provides supervision and management for the development staff and associated project activities.
Ted began his career in senior housing in 1997. Prior to beginning his career with LCS Development, he worked for a non-profit senior living provider in Chicago, Illinois. Ted holds a Bachelor of Business from The University of Iowa, and an MBA from De Paul University.
Joel has worked with LCS since 1991. With more than 35 years of design experience, Joel is a licensed architect with an undergraduate degree, professional degree, and an MBA from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Prior to his employment with LCS Development, Joel spent five years working for a national construction company’s design, cost estimating and project management subsidiary, then spent five years with Marriott Corporation as design manager for Courtyard by Marriott hotels.
During his time at LCS Development, Joel has held positions as a design manager for Life Plan Communities, director of design for all development projects, and now leads architecture and construction for LCS Development, where he sets standards for project design and construction, directs the conceptual and schematic stages of each development project, and oversees each project’s design and construction.
Craig joined LCS in 1999 as the director of information technology and established the company’s IT department. He led the teams that enabled LCS leading innovation of implementation of web service applications for business, human resources and clinical systems plus, created the network and hosting services for those systems. In his current role, Craig identifies new technology that improves the lives and wellbeing of residents, and the operational and financial efficiency of communities.
Prior to LCS, Craig was the director of technology development and corporate controller at Briggs Corporation.
Jill began her Life Care Services career at the corporate office in 1982. After 15 years in the areas of accounting, information technology, and corporate resource management, Jill transferred to Casa de las Campanas in San Diego in 1997. Sorenson was promoted to vice president, senior director of operations management in 2011, and provides oversight for several communities located in the western United States. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Simpson College and has also earned her MBA. She holds current California RCFE & NHA licenses and is an NHA preceptor.
Fahad is the CTO and Co-Founder of Caremerge, a digital health company ensuring the aging experience is filled with the peace of mind and joy. It is named one of the 2018 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the US and is backed by major healthcare investors including Insight Venture Partners, Echo Ventures and GE Ventures. He is also a contributor to Forbes covering digital health and senior care.
Previously, he was Director of Mobile Technologies at CERTPOINT Systems (now part of Infor), where he led the development of an enterprise performance management system that was successfully deployed in 40 countries and 35+ languages. In addition, he managed successful implementations at Toyota, Black & Decker, Hartford Insurance and L’Oreal.
Prior to CERTPOINT, Fahad was a lead application developer at NETSOL Technologies (Nasdaq: NTWK). He joined the company when there were less than 10 employees and contributed towards the exponential growth of 800+ employees and successful public offering at NASDAQ.
Fahad has been featured on major print and digital media outlets including Fox News, Inc., Entrepreneur, among others. Fahad holds a BCS in Computer Science and MS in Wireless communications.
